Thank you to 1000!

Thank you for coming along for the ride!

Earlier this week I hit 1000 followers on Medium, one thousand people! I know to some that’s small change, but for me, it’s a pretty big deal. I know my writing is erratic at best, and I am trying to work on that, but I am just so happy that you are here with me, to appreciate this moment.

I think what I like more than writing is reading other people’s stories. I can get so engrossed in your story, that I sometimes forget to write my own. That’s not a bad thing.

It just means that at any given moment, we are all going through something, whether we share it through our writing or not. I am so grateful for the ones who are brave enough to share their journey. It gives me the courage to continue. When someone like Annelie likes a couple of your stories all at once, that is so great to know that you are making an impact.

I am not sure if I should introduce myself again, but for those of you who don’t know me, I’m a mother of two teenage boys, I have a day job and I write whenever I can. At the moment I spend more time next to the basketball courts than writing, but I guess kids grow up and one day there won’t be anyone to take to practices anymore. If any one of the two makes it anywhere near pro, I will invite you to the games. Although, we have to get there first!

Do let me know what is interesting in your life, and what you are struggling with at the moment. I may not be able to do much, but I will read your story. I don’t always comment, but there are those special stories that just stay with you.

I just want to add, that whatever you are going through at the moment, know that these moments pass by too. The good ones and the bad ones. Above all, treasure this moment, for we all walk this way only once.

One day our time will be up, they say none of us are getting out alive. If nothing else, I am just happy to share this moment with you. I hope you feel the same. ☺️
